Don't Get Sold.
Get Understood.

I'm Morgan McDonald. I help B2B buyers navigate crowded technology markets the way a good doctor treats a patient — diagnose first, prescribe second. No pitch deck, no pressure, no funnel designed to close you. Just a guided conversation that ends with the right answer for your situation, even when that answer isn't me.

Built for decision-makers evaluating contact center & CX technology. No cost to talk. You leave with something useful either way.

Ways You Can Leave Better Off

This Isn't a Sales Funnel. It's the Opposite of One.

A funnel starts with a product and filters people out until only the "qualified" remain. That works for the seller. It rarely works for you.

The Traditional Funnel

  • Starts with a product someone needs to sell you
  • Qualification questions disguised as conversation
  • One destination: their contract
  • Everyone who doesn't fit gets dropped

Guided Discovery

  • Starts with you — your goal, your gap, your constraints
  • Questions built to understand, not to qualify
  • Five possible destinations, matched to your fit
  • Nobody leaves empty-handed. No dead ends.

Think of it like triage: assess the situation fully before recommending treatment. Sometimes the treatment is a vendor. Sometimes it's a plan. Sometimes it's "you don't need to buy anything yet" — and that's a perfectly good outcome.

A Conversation in Three Acts.

No forms that feel like interrogations. No "what's your budget?" ambushes. Just three natural stages of understanding, in the order a good advisor would ask them.

01

Who are you?

Not your lead score — your actual situation. Your role, your company, how much influence and bandwidth you have, and how you prefer to make decisions. Someone who wants five options to compare needs a different path than someone who wants one clear recommendation.

02

What's the problem?

What you're trying to achieve, what's standing in the way, what you've already tried, and what it's costing you. We separate the goal from the gap — because people often misdiagnose their own obstacle, and buying the wrong fix is expensive.

03

How can we help?

Only after the situation is fully understood do we talk about solutions — and how involved you want to be. Want to own it yourself with a roadmap? Want it handled end to end? The recommendation matches both the problem and the way you want to work.

Five Destinations. Zero Dead Ends.

The right outcome depends on both your problem and how you want to be helped. Every path is a real destination — not a consolation prize.

📚

Curated Resources

Not ready to act? You leave with a hand-picked reading list and toolkit matched to your situation — free, no strings.

🗺️

Action Plan

A personalized roadmap you can run yourself. Clear steps, sequenced by priority, built around your constraints.

🤝

Vendor Shortlist

A narrowed field from a catalog of 200+ vetted vendors — ranked by fit for your problem, not by who pays the most.

🧭

Expert Match

Paired with a specialist consultant who's solved your exact problem before, when you'd rather delegate than compare.

🏗️

Custom Engagement

For situations that don't fit a template: a scoped engagement designed around your goal, your team, and your timeline.

Mixed signals? You'll see more than one option, with an honest read on the tradeoffs — and the final call is always yours.

How I Actually Get Paid.

Neutral advice only works if the incentives are on the table. So here they are.

When a match leads to a purchase, the vendor or consultant shares a referral fee with me. You never pay more than going direct — the fee comes out of their sales cost, not your price.

Recommendations are ranked by fit

Every vendor in the catalog pays comparable referral terms — so there's no incentive to steer you toward one over another. Fit is the only ranking that matters.

"Buy nothing" is a real answer

If the honest recommendation is a free resource list or a plan you run yourself, that's what you'll get. I'd rather earn your trust for the moment you do need something.

No lead selling. Ever.

Your answers exist to route you well — not to be packaged and sold to ten sales teams. Nobody contacts you unless you choose the match.

Thirteen Years on the
Other Side of the Table.

I've spent 13+ years in B2B sales — as the rep, the manager, and the founder of an outsourced sales organization running 25 reps across 11 companies. I know exactly how the machine works, because I built and ran it.

That's precisely why I stopped. The traditional model spends enormous energy convincing buyers, and almost none understanding them. Buyers get qualified, scored, and pushed toward whatever the seller has — whether or not it's what they need.

So I flipped it. Now I sit on your side of the table: a neutral guide who diagnoses your situation first, then routes you to the best answer — a vendor, an expert, a plan, or nothing at all. My first focus is contact center and CX technology, one of the noisiest, hardest-to-navigate markets in B2B.

I work out of Portland, OR. Every conversation starts free, and everyone leaves with something useful.
